Although the origins of the game are not known, Sudoku is known to have roots that go back to the earliest number puzzles. It was initially referred to as Number Place, Sudoku was a puzzle that stimulated mathematical development. The game is comprised of nine 3x3 squares and nine smaller squares. The name Sudoku is derived by the Japanese word"shuji Wa Dokushin Ni Kagiru meaning 'numbers should be single'. The term Sudoku is a trademark belonging to the Japanese puzzle manufacturer Nikoli that was founded in Kyoto. The purpose of the puzzle is to fill in each box with numbers, so that each digit from one to nine appears just once on every horizontal line. The term 'Sudoku' taken from the Japanese words suji and dokushin which translate to "number" and "unmarried person as well as 'unmarried. The rules to solve sudoku are similar to those of other types of puzzles, however the way they are presented differs slightly. And you'll see that a printable version can an excellent way to start.
